Our Story….

After 9 years of teaching design and fabrication classes in San Diego, Pearson Courtney, the owner, moved back home to the Outer Banks and set up a small custom fabrication shop. One of his clients informed him that they could not find anyone to make modern looking beach house signs on the OBX, and asked Pearson if he could make a sign. After installing this first sign the clients neighbor contacted Pearson and wanted a sign. This process continued until everyone on the street had one of Pearson’s custom made signs, And vela, Custom cottage signs was born.

Since 2017 we have made hundreds of custom beach house signs for clients all over North Carolina. Because we are a custom fabrication shop, not just a sign shop, we have the ability to make anything you can imagine. Let us know what we can make for you!
